In my challenge to myself this year, I’ve decided to read more. I love to read, and it’s one of the new goals I’ve set. I’m really enjoying it. But I’ll admit, I’ve never really spent the time investing in audiobooks. That changed this past week after at least five people suggested I give them a try.
Let me just say, I’m not complaining—audiobooks are a game-changer! They’re incredibly easy to integrate into my day, and I’ve even discovered that I can adjust the playback speed to suit my pace. I feel like I comprehend better when listening, and my eyes are getting a much-needed rest from screens and printed pages. That’s a win, right?
Another thing I’ve loved about audiobooks is how they fit into my busy schedule. I can listen while I’m sipping my morning coffee, during a walk, or even while tackling tasks like cleaning or cooking. It’s amazing how much more reading I can get through when I’m multitasking. Plus, there’s something comforting about hearing a story told aloud—it’s almost like being read to as a kid. I love that!
What about you? Do you use audiobooks instead of physical books? Or maybe you do both? I’d love to hear what’s working for you. For me, this shift has been a reminder that there’s no one-size-fits-all way to achieve a goal—it’s about finding what works best for you.
Cheers to reading more this year, discovering new favorites like audiobooks, and enjoying a cozy cup of Sherry’s Blend at home. It’s truly my jam.
Happy sipping and happy reading,
Jenelle

Audiobooks are my go to for reading. I love to listen to books when I’m walking and driving. I also set a timer and fall asleep to an audiobook (but then have to rewind a bit…lol!). I’ve found reading this way to be relaxing and convenient.
